Programmes

We offer two programs at Xavier University School of Medicine, Bonaire:

• 5 Year Premed/M.D. Program: This program is designed for highly motivated high school graduates, and provides a thorough premedical background. Once this program is completed, our students are guaranteed admission into our Medical Program.
   
• 4 Year M.D. Program: This program is designed for students who have completed college and/or meet the minimum requirements to enter directly into medical school.

Dear Prospective Students:

Welcome from President to Xavier University school of Medicine at Bonaire.

Medicine has always been regarded as a noble profession. This is especially true among the South Asian communities. Every year a large number of students apply to medical schools and are accepted but the ratio of applicants to positions available is staggering. This means that large pools of applicants do not get accepted. This create a scramble as these students looks for paramedical careers; including those in pharmacology, veterinary medicine and graduate degrees in the sciences. This is where medical schools in other countries can be considered as an alternative.

At Xavier University School of Medicine, Bonaire, our Mission is to educate highly dedicated students in both the science and the art of medicine. This begins with an environment which promotes growth and learning, and entails dedication, discipline and direction, all of which are fundamental in the development of skilled physician.

We want you to become successful in medicine; however you define that for yourself; whether it's caring for patient in a rural, undeserved area of pushing the frontiers of medical knowledge in a big city. Only you can decide what's right for you. Whatever you choose , it will require dedication and mastery over many different skills. None of worthwhile ever are.
